This was a pitch for an e-commerce website for LK Bennett. One of the main features that we looked at for this website was a "rail" system that in effect upgraded the shopping basket with something more useful. The idea behind the rail, is that when walking around a physical shop, people tend to pick up items, compare them, and try them on.
The rail encourages you to shop in this way and adding shoes, clothes or handbags enables you to easily compare your choices with other items as you browse the virtual store. It is not until you come to checkout that you decide on what you can do without.
